Create an Attribute Type

Enterprise Insight clusters together object types, attribute types, relationship types and diagram types into metamodels which are then assigned to models. This defines what can be created within each model. 

Here we will show how an attribute type is created.

• Select the attribute types tab
• Click the Create Attribute Type button
• Add an attribute type name
• Select a format for your attribute type, this will dictate the configuration options available for the attribute type, for example a decimal can have a currency and range limits but a text cannot.

When assigning attributes to an object or relationship type from the assignment tab, all attributes will be automatically added to the general tab of that object type / relationship type. If you would like to select a specific tab for the attribute, then you must assign from the object type / relationship type screen.

• Optionally assign the attribute to an object type or relationship type
• Please save when you have configured the attribute, it will not be saved automatically
