Create an Object Type

Enterprise Insight clusters together object types, attribute types, relationship types and diagram types into metamodels which are then assigned to models. This defines what can be created within each model.

Here we will show how an object type is created.

• Go to the Object Types tab
• Click Create Object Type
• Enter a name for your object type in the Object Type Name field
• Use the style settings to define all the different characteristics of your object type when it appears within a visualization
• If you would like to assign attributes to your object type, you can do this using the attributes tab
  • Add tabs as desired by entering a tab name and clicking the right facing arrow
  • Click on the tab and assign any attributes you need to the "Assigned Attributes" section using the right facing arrow
• Please save when you have configured the object, it will not be saved automatically
