Working with Objects

This article will show you how to create a objects in Enterprise Insight.

• Navigate to Model Manager in the menu and open the model you would like to add the objects to. All objects must be added to a model

Objects can be added in diagrams, in the tree or in the in line editor.

Creating an Object in the Tree

Go to the plus symbol at the bottom of the tree

• Click on Add Object
• Give the object a name and a type. The object types available are controlled by the metamodel(s) aligned with the model. This is selected when the model is created

• Select Create to see the object displayed in the tree. You can click on it to see information about the object

Creating an Object in the In Line Editor

• Click on the model or a folder within the model
• Select the In Line editor tab from the right side of the screen
• Add the name of the object to the object name column and select an object type using the drop down menu. Immediately the object will be created when these fields are complete\
